Description:

Using End Run Wetting Agent

End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer is a unique final step solution for all film and print processes. As a wetting agent, it lubricates to reduce scratching when wet, and promotes even drying without water spots or streaks.

Unlike other wetting agents, End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer leaves a monomolecular, anti-static coating to reduce dust attraction on dry films and prints and hardens emulsions slightly to reduce swelling and scratching.

End Run Wetting Agent offers these benefits only when used as directed for dilution, agitation and sponge squeegeeing. End Run is packaged as a superconcentrate.

One liter of concentrate will make 100 liters of working solution, enough for at least (6000) 8x10 prints or the equivalent of (6000) rolls of 35mm 36 exposure film.

How To Mix

To make the desired volume of working solution, dilute End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer superconcentrate 1:99 with water.

For Example:

10ml End Run Wetting Agent Superconcentrate

+ 990ml Water

= 1000ml End Run Wetting Agent Working Solution

Basic Procedures

Step Procedure Timing Range
    Step 1: Final Water Wash - 5 Minute(s)- 1-10 Minute(s)
    Step 2: End Run Wetting Agent - 1 Minute(s)- 1-3 Minute(s)
    Step 3: Sponge & Dry

Use at the same temperature as other working solutions in the process, 18-30°C / 64.5-86°F. Agitate continuously for the first minute, and then for 10-15 seconds of each minute thereafter. Use only enough working solution in film tanks to cover reels and to leave an air space for thorough agitation with bubbles.

Sponge Squeegeeing

End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer is designed for sponge squeegeeing only. A clean sponge for prints or sponge tongs for films, soaked in working solution and wrung out, will remove excess solution and foreign matter evenly, leaving only the correct End Run coating for anti static protection. Rubber blade squeegees remove too much or all of the END RUN coating and leave no anti-static protection. Finger squeegeeing leaves an uneven or excessive coating.

When sponge squeegeeing, apply only enough gentle even pressure to absorb excess solution. END RUN’s lubricating action protects against scratching. Sponge tongs also absorb excess solution from 35mm film sprocket holes, which might otherwise leave streaks.

Drip Dry Method

If sponge squeegeeing is impossible, such as for large sheets of film, End Run may be used in a different dilution for drip drying without squeegeeing. To mix a working solution, add 3ml End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer superconcentrate to each liter of water.

For Example:

3ml End Run Wetting Agent Superconcentrate

+ 1000ml Water

= 1003ml End Run Wetting Agent Drip DryWorking Solution

Capacity & Shelf Life

One Liter of End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer 1:99 working solution will process at least (60) 8x10 prints, or the equivalent of at least (60) rolls of 35mm, 36 exposure film.

End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilizer superconcentrate and unused working solution have a shelf life of at least 2 years.

Used working solutions have a shelf life of a least 30 days.

CA Proposition 65

Attention to all California residents, Proposition 65 or officially known as, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, to go into effect on August 30, 2018, which changes the information that is required in or on Proposition 65 warnings.

We want you to know and be aware of our product safety and Midwest Photo is taking all of the necessary steps to comply with the applicable safety and health requirements made by this Proposition 65.

WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

This disclaimer can be found on the product pages on our website under the Additional Information tab which appears below the product description. It is listed on all product pages to ensure that our customer is aware of the warnings put out by our suppliers so you can know the precautions before purchasing.
