LEE Filters 100x100mm Solar Eclipse Filter
LEE Filters 100x100mm Solar Eclipse Filter
The solar eclipse filter is designed solely for simple photography of solar eclipses or the surface of the sun. It is NOT suitable for general long-exposure landscape photography.

A solar eclipse is such a rare and captivating phenomenon it's only natural to want to capture it in a sequence of photographs. However, when shooting a solar eclipse, even the lowest ISOs and fastest shutter speeds result in overexposed, blown-out images that fail to reflect the fascinating process. As a result, a very strong, specialised filter is required to bring the exposure range down to manageable levels. This is where our Solar Eclipse Filter comes in.

When shooting solar events this filter brings the exposure range down to manageable levels. NOT intended as a viewing filter for solar events. Never look through the filter directly at the sun, as there is a risk of severe eye damage.

CA Proposition 65

Attention to all California residents, Proposition 65 or officially known as, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, to go into effect on August 30, 2018, which changes the information that is required in or on Proposition 65 warnings.

We want you to know and be aware of our product safety and Midwest Photo is taking all of the necessary steps to comply with the applicable safety and health requirements made by this Proposition 65.

WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

This disclaimer can be found on the product pages on our website under the Additional Information tab which appears below the product description. It is listed on all product pages to ensure that our customer is aware of the warnings put out by our suppliers so you can know the precautions before purchasing.
