CineStill 50Daylight Xpro C-41 Color Negative Film - 120 Roll Film
NOW WITH NEW DX CODED CASSETTES FOR USE WITH POINT & SHOOT AND PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS!

36 exp. 135 rolls. ISO 50/18° speed daylight balanced (5500K) motion picture emulsion. Original fresh stock from Kodak 50D, prepped and rolled for clean safe C-41 standard development as an ISO 50 film. Boasted to be the world’s finest grain film! May also be processed in motion picture ECN-2 chemistry.

Our new and improved manufacturing process now extends the shelf life, with less noticeable artifacts after expiration! The same advanced motion picture emulsion, safe to process in standard C-41 photo lab machines or at home! This emulsion is optimized for a hybrid workflow, ideal for scanning, and produces a complimentary contrast curve for optical printing on RA-4 paper when processed in C-41 chemistry.

Features:
  • Color Balanced Daylight (5500K) color negative motion picture film stock for use as still photography film
  • Factory spooled into NEW high quality Dx-Coded Cartridges
  • Remjet backing free, resulting in a unique halation effect
  • Unrivaled highlight and shadow latitude
  • Dynamic accurate color rendition
  • High resolution with maximum sharpness
  • Enhanced Scanning Performance
  • Great for portraits and landscapes
  • Recommended to process C-41 without worrying about remjet

Expiration: The new boxed CineStill film has an extended shelf life, and should be stored in the fridge and shot within 6 months of purchase to achieve optimal results. Exposed film should be processed promptly in C-41 chemicals to preserve latent image latitude and color fidelity. All current productions of CineStill have expiration dates for two years from manufacture date on the box. If you have earlier productions of 50D (no retail box) or your film does not have an expiration date, it is likely age fogged.

Note: This emulsion was originally designed for in ECN-2 process and may still be processed using ALL of those steps, resulting in a pulled negative with lower gamma. Although there is no remjet adhesive layer to contaminate and exhaust the chemicals, skipping the additional accelerant pre-bath will under-develop the film when just using the ECN-2 developer. Tests show consistent results in standard C-41 processing and printing when compared to ECN-2 motion picture lab processing performed by professional labs. Long term archival stability has not been tested past 5 years. Expectations for archival longevity should be somewhere between Kodachrome and most C-41 films. We will replace any roll that shows defect. We do not accept any liability beyond replacement of original film purchased.

CA Proposition 65

Attention to all California residents, Proposition 65 or officially known as, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, to go into effect on August 30, 2018, which changes the information that is required in or on Proposition 65 warnings.

We want you to know and be aware of our product safety and Midwest Photo is taking all of the necessary steps to comply with the applicable safety and health requirements made by this Proposition 65.

WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

This disclaimer can be found on the product pages on our website under the Additional Information tab which appears below the product description. It is listed on all product pages to ensure that our customer is aware of the warnings put out by our suppliers so you can know the precautions before purchasing.
