Sprint Standard Developer - 1liter
Description:

Using Standard

Standard is the basic film developer in the Sprint B&W processing system. All
solutions for this process are in liquid concentrate form. One liter of Standard concentrate
will make 10 liters of working solution, enough to develop at least (50) rolls of 35mm 36
exposure film, or enough replenished solution to develop 110 rolls. Directions provided here
are for basic negative processing.

How To Mix

Dilute Standard concentrate 1:9 with water to make the desired volume.

For Eample:

100ml Standard B&W Film Developer Concentrate

+ 900ml Water

= 1000ml Standard B&W Film Developer Working Solution

Procedures For Processing B&W Negative Films

Use all solutions at the temperature selected for Development

Step Procedure Timing

    1: Water Pre-Wet 1 Minute(s) 2: Standard Film Developer See Development
    3: Block Stop Bath 1 Minute(s)
    4: Record Speed Fixer 3 Minute(s)
    5: Water Pre-Wash 1 Minute(s)
    6: Archive Fixer Remover 3 Minute(s)
    7: Water Wash 5 Minute(s)
    8: End Run Wetting Agent & Stabilize 1 Minute(s)
    9: Sponge Squeegee & Dry

Agitation

For each step listed above, agitate continuously for the first MINUTE and for 10-15 seconds
of each MINUTE thereafter. During development (step 2), if development time is less than 6
minutes, agitate continuously for the first MINUTE and for 10-15 seconds of each HALF-
MINUTE thereafter. When development time is less than 3 minutes, agitate continuously. Use
only enough solution to cover reels, leaving an air space for thorough agitation with bubbles.

Water Washers

Wash films with a complete exchange of water (empty & refill) three times per minute, even
with automatic washers.

Capacity & Replenishment

1 liter of Standard 1:9 working solution will develop 400 square inches of film. Example:
(5) rolls of 35mm 36 exposure or (5) rolls of 120 film. With replenishment as directed, 1 liter
of working solution will process ten times this amount of film.

To renew a volume of working solution which has been used to capacity, add STANDARD
concentrate to the working solution in the following proportions:

Proportions For Replenishment:

For Each: ......... Add:

  • 10 ² in sheet film - 1.0ml concentrate
  • 35mm, 20 exposure roll - 4.5ml concentrate
  • 35mm, 36 exposure or 120 roll - 7.5ml concentrate

This replenishment returns the working solution to its fresh working condition and capacity.
When replenished developer is used to capacity it may be replenished again, repeatedly, until
a total of 4000 square inches has been developed per liter.

Development

To determine the recommended time and temperature for processing your film, locate your
film on our development time chart. Click here for a link to this chart.

Note: Processing times for the chart linked above, are located at the intersection of the row
containing your selected film and the column containing your desired working temperature.

Shelf Life

CA Proposition 65

Attention to all California residents, Proposition 65 or officially known as, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, to go into effect on August 30, 2018, which changes the information that is required in or on Proposition 65 warnings.

We want you to know and be aware of our product safety and Midwest Photo is taking all of the necessary steps to comply with the applicable safety and health requirements made by this Proposition 65.

WARNING: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

This disclaimer can be found on the product pages on our website under the Additional Information tab which appears below the product description. It is listed on all product pages to ensure that our customer is aware of the warnings put out by our suppliers so you can know the precautions before purchasing.
