The LP633 Umbrella Swivel bracket will hold most shoe-mount flashes. Primarily designed to use on a light stand, it can be used with or without an umbrella or other shafted light modifier. It fits on any standard 5/8 inches light stand or any other standard 5/8 inches male, 1/4 inches (+20) or 3/8 inches threaded male accessory. It comes with a removable 3/8 inches and 1/4 inches (-20) female threaded brass insert.

The small swivel is great for portability. Not only that, the compactness is very important. The larger swivels remove the light source further away from the center of the umbrella axis, which means it's harder to distribute light evenly across the surface of an attached umbrella. See my video at:
